6-Days the Best Safari

If you’ve always dreamed of experiencing the African plains and their wildlife, six days safari is the best for you. Day 1

Tarangire National park

Depart with ADONAI SAFARI local guide for Tarangire, Tanzania’s third-largest national park and home to a large population of elephants. Majestic baobab trees are a striking feature of the park, capable of dwarfing even the elephants. Much of the park’s wildlife congregate close to the banks of the Tarangire river, which is the only permanent water supply in the area. As well as the elephant about 6,000 of them you can also hope to see lion, leopard, cheetah, and many different species of herbivore.

 Day 2

Tarangire to Lake Manyara National Park

After breakfast depart for a full day at Lake Manyara National Park, which stretches from the base of the Rift Valley escarpment to a large soda lake. Manyara is known for the diversity of its habitats. As well as the soda lake, there is a lush green, groundwater forest, home to troops of baboons and blue monkeys. This forest opens up into acacia woodland, grasslands swamps, and then the lake itself. It is thanks to the lake that Manyara is a particular highlight for ornithologists. In addition to thousands of flamingo, there are pelicans, sacred ibis, grebes, and stork above many others. Manyara is also noted for its numerous buffalo, elephant, giraffe, impala, hippo, and, of course, its elusive tree-climbing lions.

Day 3

Lake Manyara to Serengeti National Park

After breakfast, we depart for the Serengeti National Park. On the way, we drive through the Ngorongoro Highlands and stop off at the world-famous Olduvai gorge, where you’ll also have time to visit the informative museum and learn more about the palaeoanthropological specimens discovered in the area. After visiting the museum we will have lunch before we depart for Serengeti followed by our first game drive in the park. Covering over 14,763 sq km the Serengeti has the highest concentration of big cats in the world, as well as many other species of fauna. The landscape is more varied than you might expect as well as the plains, there are hills and woods to the west. Kopjes (rocky mounds) in the east, and bushland to the north. There are also several large rivers.

Day 4

Explore Serengeti National Park

Morning and evening game drives through the Serengeti plains. Between December and mid-June, these plains are filled with 2 million wildebeest and zebra migrating in search of fresh grass that is rich in essential calcium. February when the wildebeest calves is another exciting time. Even at other times of the year, there are still wildebeest and zebra to see as not all of these herbivores migrate.

Day 5

Serengeti to Ngorongoro Crater

Morning departure for the Ngorongoro Crater game drive. We descend 600 meters to the bottom of the caldera. Crater marked with swamps, water holes, and a soda lake. The crater floor is about 20km in diameter and is home to around 30,000 animals. It is also a place that is possible to spot endangered Black Rhinoceros and all of the other big five members including lion, leopard, elephant, and buffalo.

Day 6

Kilimanajro International Airport

After breakfast at the lodge, drive to Mto Wa Mbu for a cultural visit to the local women and learn how they do their daily activities including farming, small women financing groups, you will have local lunch with the local women to taste the local African food. Transfer to Kilimanjaro airport for your onward flight.
