We are able to offer the following one-day safaris, cultural tours, day hikes, travel, and other trekking packages starting from Arusha town. These tours are designed to offer visitors, with a free day on hand, a choice between different one-day wildlife safaris, cultural tours, or day hikes up Mt Kilimanjaro. Since all our safaris are arranged as private safaris, our tour starting dates are flexible as per your requirements.

Arusha National Park

The Arusha National Park is a small (137 sq km) but beautiful African park. It is the closest Tanzanian National Wildlife Park to both the famous “safari town” of Arusha (32 km), as well as the Kilimanjaro International Airport, thus making it ideal for day safaris, even from Moshi (65 km). Not only is the wildlife in the Arusha National Park abundant, but it is also one of the most beautiful and topographically varied game reserves in Tanzania.

After breakfast, you are met by our professional tour guide/driver, who will deliver a short safari info briefing, after which we travel east to the Arusha National Park. This small but beautiful Tanzanian National Park is the closest national park to both the famous Arusha “safari town” (40 km) as well as the Kilimanjaro International Airport, thus making it ideal for 1-day safaris or tours. Not only is the animal life in the park abundant, but it is also one of the most beautiful and topographically varied parks in Tanzania. The park’s three most significant features include the rugged Mount Meru (Tanzania’s second-highest peak at 4566m), the notably different colored Momela Lakes, and the 3km wide Ngurdoto Crater, which was formed about fifteen million years ago!

We will enjoy a picnic lunch inside the park and do a morning and afternoon game drive, visiting both the Momela Lakes and the Ngurdoto Crater. Wildlife which could be seen include African buffalos, elephants, hippos, giraffe, warthogs, antelopes, zebras, blue monkeys and sometimes a rare leopard or hyena. Late afternoon we depart for Arusha where we will end our safari adventure. The group should tip the tour guide around $ 20 to $ 30 for the day. Lake Manyara National Park

Among the attractions of the often underrated park, are superb birdlife and its famous and elusive tree-climbing lions. A small park with a variety of animals and diverse habitats that can be found here, anything from thousands of flamingos in the lake, to buffalo, zebra, wildebeest, gazelle, blue and vervet monkeys in the forest and plains area.

After breakfast, you are met by our professional tour guide/driver, who will deliver a short safari info briefing, after which we travel west to the Great Rift Valley and the Lake Manyara National Park. We will travel through the agricultural and fresh produce market town of Mto Wa Mbu, which is situated next to the entrance of the Lake Manyara National Park. The town is a souvenir hunters paradise, harboring thousands of souvenir salesmen – ready to pounce at your slightest invitation. The Lake Manyara National Park is one of Tanzania’s most dramatically located African wildlife areas, consisting of a massive but shallow soda lake (covering two-thirds of the park) at the foot of the Great Rift Valley’s western escarpment. The park’s varied habitat attracts a wide variety of animals, including one of Africa’s densely populated African elephant herds, Lake Manyara’s famous tree-climbing lions, as well as large flocks of flamingos, attracted by the algae in the lake. We will enjoy a picnic lunch inside the park and do two exciting morning and afternoon game drives, in search of the tree-climbing lions. Late afternoon we depart for Arusha from Lake Manyara where we will end our safari adventure. The group should tip the tour guide around $20 to $ 30 for the day. Tarangire National Park

A diverse and picturesque African wildlife sanctuary. During the annual dry season (Aug to Oct) the Tarangire river is the only permanent water in the area and the park attracts a huge concentration of animals. Tarangire is also noted for its baobab trees, splendid vistas of rolling savannah and acacia woodland.

The park runs along the line of the Tarangire River and is mainly made up of low-lying hills on the Great Rift Valley floor. Its natural vegetation mainly consists of Acacia woodland and giant African Baobab trees, with huge swamp areas in the south. Both the river and the swamps act like a magnet for wild animals, during Tanzania’s dry season. The Tarangire National Park is reputed to contain some of the largest elephant herds in Africa. We will enjoy a picnic lunch inside the park and do two exciting morning and afternoon game drives, along the Tarangire River. The Ngorongoro crater

Ngorongoro is a breathtaking natural wonder, featuring one of the highest concentrations of wildlife in Africa and offering some of the easiest and most rewarding game viewing in Tanzania? Few safari destinations deliver the same experience as the Ngorongoro Crater – it will not disappoint you! Due to the long travel time and distance from Arusha town to the crater and back, we strongly recommend this trip as a 2 day / 1-night safari instead

Arusha – Ngorongoro Crater – Arusha 
Travel time: 4 hours – 4 hours
Distance: 160 km – 160km

Pick up from Arusha town at approximately 7:00 am and we depart to the Ngorongoro Conservation area. We will descend over 600 meters into the Ngorongoro crater for a 4 hours game drive with a picnic lunch. Supported by a year-round water supply and fodder, the Ngorongoro Crater supports a vast variety of animals, which include herds of wildebeest, zebra, buffalo, eland, warthog, hippo, and giant African elephants. Another big draw card to this picturesque national park is its dense population of predators, which include lions, hyenas, jackals, cheetahs, and the ever-elusive leopard, which sometimes requires a trained eye to spot.

We will visit Lake Magadi, a large but shallow alkaline lake in the southwestern corner, which is one of the main features of the crater. A large number of flamingos, hippos, and other water birds can usually be seen here. Midafternoon we depart for Arusha where we will end our safari adventure. The expected arrival time to Arusha town will be around 19:00pm. The group should tip the tour guide around $ 20 to $ 30 for the day.

 

Kilimanjaro National Park

Kilimanjaro National Park is home to the highest free-standing mountain in the world and the highest mountain in Africa! We arrange guided one-day hikes up Kilimanjaro through the forest section of the Marangu route. Please take note of good views of Kilimanjaro, depend on clear skies around the mountain. We are flexible to arrange longer 2 days / 1-night trips as well on request.

Moshi – Marangu gate – Moshi

Travel time: 3 hours – 3 hours

Distance: 120 km – 120 km

Meet your guide in Arusha town at around 06:30 am and transfer to the Marangu gate.

Upon registering with park authorities, the climb will officially commence with a four-hour walk (approximately 8,1km) to the Mandara encampment (2,750m). Hikers will pass through a thick rainforest zone, where there is a high chance of rain in the afternoon. Halfway to Mandara camp, the hiking party will stop and enjoy a picnic lunch, before. On arrival at Mandara camp, hikers can walk around the campsite and take a short rest before starting the hike back to the Marangu gate. They will meet up with the driver and return to Arusha town. Depending on the time available and the hiker’s fitness levels, the guide can turn around before reaching the Mandara huts. You will be taken to your hotel, which ends our tour package services.

 

Materuni Village Cultural Tourism

Materuni is the home of the Chagga tribe and is still an authentic tribal village. This charming place is just 15km away from Moshi town and the village nearly border’s the Kilimanjaro National Park.

Travel time: 2 ½ hours – 2 ½ hours

Distance: 92 km – 92 km

Meet your guide in Arusha town at around 07:30 am and transfer to the Materuni Village m. Upon arrival, you will register at the village office and your trip will begin.

First, you will visit the 80 meter high waterfalls, which are around a 40-minute walk away. On the way, your guide will inform you about the culture of the Chagga village life and explain the surrounding fauna and flora. The views are truly breath-taking, and if the skies are clear you will see the summit of Kilimanjaro. The pool at the bottom of the waterfall is an inviting place for a refreshing swim so don‘t forget your swimwear if interested in swimming. After having enjoyed the scenery, you slowly return to the Materuni village. Enjoy a traditional Chagga lunch and taste the local banana beer – definitely not to be missed!

After lunch, you will learn how coffee is cultivated, dried, roasted, and further processed. You will also be invited to help with the grinding of the coffee, which is traditionally accompanied by Chagga songs and dances – a fun way to immerse yourself in the local culture. Before you say goodbye and return in the afternoon to Moshi, you can savor the coffee you made and appreciate the views of the surrounding rainforest.

Mid-afternoon we depart for Arusha town where we will end our safari adventure. The group should tip the tour guide around $ 25 to $ 30 for the day. You will be taken to your hotel, which ends our tour package services.

 

Olpopongi Maasai Cultural village

Meet your guide in Arusha town at around 08ad:30 am and transfer to Western Kilimanjaro. You will spend the day at the authentic Maasai Village, Olpopongi Maasai Cultural village.

You can expect to visit the Museum, do a village Tour, eat a traditional lunch and enjoy a short walking safari in the Maasai territory. During the visit, you will also learn more about Maasai hunting techniques & natural Maasai medicine.
